The core concept is straightforward: the 9505A handset is placed in a dock that provides stable mounting and interfaces that mimic conventional communications equipment—most notably POTS analog telephony (RJ-11) and RS-232 serial data—so the Iridium satellite link can be used through standard analog phones, PBX systems, or legacy serial data workflows.
