Dobot LUMO L1 is a next-generation versatile embodied AI humanoid robot designed for home companionship, research and education, and commercial service applications. The robot is built around DOBOT's embodied AI architecture, combining spatial understanding, multimodal perception, autonomous mobility, and continuous learning to support natural interaction with people and real-world environments.

Embodied AI and Interaction

The LUMO L1 is presented by DOBOT as a robot that can understand the world, connect with users, and evolve through real-world interaction. Its intelligence stack includes the self-developed DobotWAM embodied AI foundation model, long-term memory functions controlled by the user, visual and voice-based emotional recognition, and brain-inspired spatial cognition for understanding people, objects, and movement in its surroundings.

Mobility and Expressive Movement

The robot uses 30 degrees of freedom across the body and integrates navigation and obstacle avoidance for human-like movement. DOBOT lists support for walking, complex dance routines, kicking, flips, martial-arts-inspired movement, expressive facial behavior, head movement, and body-language interaction. High-risk movements should be professionally assessed before activation.

DOBOT lists two editions: LUMO L1 Standard and LUMO L1 Max. Both share the same 1240 mm height, 560 mm width, 244 mm depth, 635 mm upper/lower leg length, 596 mm single-arm length excluding the hand, 30 total degrees of freedom, 130 Nm joint maximum torque, approximately two-hour operating time under typical motion conditions, and 1.5 kg single-arm payload without gripper. The Max edition adds an included stereo RGB-D camera and 3D LiDAR and is listed with NVIDIA Jetson Thor T4000 AI computing at 1,200 TFLOPS FP4, while the Standard edition lists Rockchip RK3588 computing at 6 TOPS.
